Finished Great Teacher Onizuka

5 #

Ah, I started over the summer reading Great Teacher Onizuka which is a manga series about a guy who aspires to be the greatest teacher ever. I finished it today, and it was a pretty amazing series. Even though Onizuka was just a fictional character, he was very inspiring. He showed what it was like to be a great person and to be your own person.

Comics!

Yay for dumb, idiotic, and funny comics! I am posting and will be posting my recent comics up here. Comics are in JPG format and they have a small filesize (around 100kb each). So just click and read! (Note: Wasted time will not be refunded. Read at your own risk!)

Some history:

I started drawing these horrible comics during 5th grade in Elementary school. I gave them the name Dumb Comics because they were really dumb. (Turns out that a comic called Dumb Comics really exist!) If I can ever find them again, I will scan them up too. Anyway, this trend kind of caught on and my friends started drawing them too (Fed, Euge, Tom). The most notable were perhaps the ones drawn by Eugene. He started a series called Super Euge which was basically portrayed himself as a superhero called Super Euge. This Super Euge changes in an Outhouse, has a triangle body, and has a varietly of useless attacks with actually work. His comics were funny, and my friends and I started drawing spin-offs of it to poke fun at him. Back then, pokemon was the fad, and a lot of our comics contained elements of it. Tom made a funny spin-off were, I think, Super Euge was watching pokemon and threw a pokeball at the tv and caught the pokemon (or was it the tv? I forget). Therefore, a lot of my comics now still feature Super Euge in it. To keep from copyright infringement, I added an extra r to Euge making it Super Euger. That’s it!

By the way, if you are using Windows XP and Internet Explorer, the comic will automatically shrink to fit the screen. To view it correctly, hover (or move) your mouse pointer over the image until image functions pop up. Down to the right is an image expand button. Click that and then you can see the comic at it’s full size.

Comics by me:

  • Spuer Euge - (9/29/02) The one that started my comic drawing up again, Spuer Euge is a twisted paraody of …. well …. nothing really good at all.
  • Cheap-O-Comics (12/10/02) Oh man, these comics are so cheap, they are only 3 frames each! It’s also extremely poorly drawn with a crappy storyline.
  • The Parallel Adventures of Super Euge(r) - (12/12/02) The first comic to coin the Super Euger name, it’s witty in the sly usage of the Memorex advertisement.
  • The Majority Report - (12/13/02) A paraody of Minority Report. Features Super Euger and Tom Cruise.
  • Cowboy Bebop - (12/18/02) While this comic is titled Cowboy Bebop (named after the awesome anime series), it basically has nothing to do with it. There is a small inside joke in the comic. One day in French class we learned the “Aussitot que” phrase/thing. It means as soon as but in pronouncing it (au-si-toe-kuh), it sounded Indian or Japanese. So…. used it in this comic! This comic was completed over a course of 3 days so I kind of forgot what I was really going to write for it. That’s why it’s so crazy with plot jumps everywhere (it even has Pizza the Hut!).
  • Evangelion - (12/22/02) I was planning to do a funny recap of the anime Evangelion when I realized that I couldn’t draw an Evangelion ^^’. The comic was sitting around for a while and I became uninterested in it so I scrapped it and started new comics.
  • The Two Towers - (1/8/03) I haven’t been drawing any comics for a while so I decided to kick it back up with a recap of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. However, I’m telling the story the way it really happened…
  • Camp Fear - (1/10/03) A paid advertisement explaining the benefits and programs at Camp Fear. It’s environmentally safe!
  • How to become a professional hitman (and get away with it) - (1/8/03) Need some extra cash? Wanna make a quick buck? This guide tells you everything you need to know in order to become a professional hitman!

Comics by David K.:

Comics by Eugene M.:

  • Small Comic - (1/6/03) So you think my comics are cheap? Well, Eugene’s Small Comic is even cheaper! It was drawn up in the corner of some French scrap paper. It doesn’t even have full frames! Well, anyway, this comic is about a kid who makes a statement that Eugene doesn’t like….
