Non-stop Work

This week has been pretty exhausting already. For this term, it looks like Wednesday nights are my only “free time”. So far, I’ve been working almost non-stop from Monday to 6PM today on various assignments and this really tough Ch 21c set that took about two whole days to complete. Well, at least I can rest just a little bit until tomorrow.

Impressed with Django Book

I started to seriously read the beginning of the Django Book mainly prompted by Google’s App Engine announcement which only uses Python right now. And I’m really impressed by the author’s work. He uses the strategy of doing it the hard way first and then telling you about the shortcuts later. With this method, you really get to understand how the internals of Django work. The explanations are very detailed with tips on alternative methods too. Very cool stuff.
