Finished Great Teacher Onizuka

Ah, I started over the summer reading Great Teacher Onizuka which is a manga series about a guy who aspires to be the greatest teacher ever. I finished it today, and it was a pretty amazing series. Even though Onizuka was just a fictional character, he was very inspiring. He showed what it was like to be a great person and to be your own person.

    Hey Jen,

Well, actually, I took a small break between the summer and about a month ago (I didn’t have access to any of the manga). Also, I blew through like 6 volumes of manga in a week when I used to go though like 2 volumes in a week.

It’s a really good series, and I highly recommend the MANGA (not the anime). However, it has some adult content in it so be a bit wary of that.

… ironically [despite your recommendation], I think that’s the next anime up on the list here.

I guess you’ll have to lend me the manga now :-P

Of course :). What ever you do, don’t watch the anime first! The anime is drawn a little bit differently than the manga which kind of destroys some of the characters. Catch me on AIM and we can discuss methods of transfer. Oh, yeah, this series is really good :).

Hi there! Nice blog posting about Finished Great Teacher Onizuka. I would have to agree with you on this one. I am going to look more into adult anime. This Friday I have time.
