So Thanksgiving. At Caltech. Pretty normal -> Food + Turkey.
I appreciate the break. However, my brain is too addled and is thinking about tons of things at once to be able to write coherently.
Something cool two days ago: Numb3rs was filming at Caltech and I got to watch them film a scene! It was pretty cool seeing the characters in person.
“Charlie” is the guy who is waving in that picture. Everyone else in that picture are background filler people they hired or the flim crew.
I read on Wikipedia today that one method of brainwashing is to keep feeding people information without giving them time to really think about it. I immediately thought Caltech…
Ah, another two weeks and then I’m back home! I can’t wait to get back to hang out with my old friends again and see how UD is going. I definitely appreciate my home town a lot more now.

One question: what’s he doing at Caltech if he’s a professor at Cal Poly in the show? =P
Uh, are you serious that in the show he’s a professor at Cal Poly? Because, there really is a Cal Poly fairly close by, and a lot of people mix it up with Caltech (Ie. “I go to California Institute of Technology”; “Oh, you mean Cal Poly?”).
So my answer to your question is that: 1. It is widely known that math professors are too smart for their own good. 2. Being too smart for your own good leads to absent mindedness. 3. Being absent minded means that you accidentally mistaken Caltech for Cal Poly. Proved.
On a side note, they were filming at other places in Caltech including some kid’s dorm room. They had to kick him out of his own room. I think that episode they were filming had something to do with a Caltech kid who has some answer to something.
Haha… I am 78% sure he is a professor at Cal Poly in the show… I’ll see if they mention it again in any upcoming episodes.

I’ll keep an eye out on upcoming eps of the show and see if they have anything like that. No word on air date, I imagine?
Oh, I forgot to totally answer your question. Add: 4. Therefore, he, Charlie, was at Caltech because he is 1,2,3.
I’m not sure how they did. I just heard from people in that house that they kicked people out of common rooms and a “dorm” room to film.
I hate no clue on the air date, but if you see a scene that looks like the picture above where Charlie and some woman are sitting at a table chatting to some student who’s wearing an orange shirt, then uh, it’s that episode!
I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it, and when I see it I’ll probably stand up, point, and squeal “OH MAN MIKE WAS THERE!!!” =P
