See ya Christina, Ally, Ricky

Well, this is kind of late, and I’m sorry for that. The problem is: I don’t really have anything unique to say. In addition, I don’t have anything unique to say to each of you. Let’s start with some standard things before I try to go more specific. Perhaps along the way, I’ll get some ideas.

To all three of you, I wish you the best of luck in college, of course. I’ll miss all of you, and I thank you (all) for making my summer a lot more fun than it would have been. I also regret not getting to know any of you better. I consider all three of you as friends and therefore, you’ll automatically be enrolled in my Friends Benefits Program(tm)! (Omg, I can’t help it, my brain has its spontaneous moments.) The program consists of unmetered help within certain time intervals (my waking hours) through telephone, email, or chat! Newer features are being added constantly with no annual fee either! More seriously though (I’m calmed down), it turns out that I might learn a thing or two about science and math at Caltech so I might be able to give you some ideas on some backbreaking problem. And heck, if I can’t solve it, the guy next to me probably can. And if that guy can’t solve it, the genius girl down the hall can!

So now individually:
Christina: Just kidding. Every time I think I start to “know” who you are, I find that I really don’t ^^;. It’s difficult to explain, but it’s true! Therefore, I really don’t know what to write here. I’ll read your blog if you blog….and….I’ll attempt to talk intelligent literature with you once in a while!

Ally: In Naruto (an anime), one character tells another: “A Ninja must see underneath the underneath.” No, this isn’t some kind of perverted phrase. No, I don’t think you are a Ninja, but I noticed through my observations that you have some sort of this perception. I still think it’s funny how the pictures of you in your house have papers taped over them.

Ricky: I didn’t know that you were ___, but even though you are, I guess it didn’t really matter to me that much. You’re a decent, fun, intelligent, and interesting person regardless. Your presence at the parties and gatherings really drove the conversations. I suppose that since I’ve known you, I’ve been more socially liberal and accepting since I got to know how people are. So! I learned stuff from you.

See ya!

Thanks, Mike, your messages are always very personalized. I’ll probably take advantage of your special edition Friends Benefit Program once I get the time to work on my website/blog some more. I do plan to start writing soon. If I’m free tonight I might work on it, now that I am pretty sure about my classes for the semester. You can expect some fascinating stories and dorm photographs, I guess. Heh, and I’ll try to pick up some intelligent literature conversation from my English classes when I get to them.

  2. Classes? What the heck kind of thing is that? You went to college for the classes?! Heck, I’m going to college for the fast internet (that’s pretty much the only reason)!

*nods* *nods* Let’s hear the stories! Your course of “The Art of Oneself” or something like that sounds interesting.

Yes, thank you, Mike. I might just have to take advantage of your Friends Benefits Program ™ sometime soon. It’s funny that you mention that anime. I’ve seen previews for it on Adult Swim lately. Do you recommend it?

Have a nice time at college with your fast internet. It’s almost frightening thinking about what you’ll be able to do with it.

  4. Noooooooooooo! Well, yes, of course, I recommend Naruto! But no, don’t watch it on Adult Swim. I heard that the anime was being butchered in many places with the most serious one being the language. There are certain things in Japanese (sound, expressions, phrases, etc.) that cannot be replaced or mimiced by English. For instance, Naruto’s phrase: “Kage Bushin no Jutsu!” which roughly translates into “Mass Shadow Duplication” is rumored to be “Doppelganger technique!” in the Adult Swim version. Naruto in English is going to be a horrible little kid’s show. Watch the original Japanese version with English subtitles (you can obtain this online). You’ll definitely enjoy it.

Hm, fast internet’s going to be awesome, but my sister thinks that it’ll be a bane for me since it’ll cause my grades and stuff to drop… ^^;;;.

Thanks for the advice. I might have just watched the Adult Swim version and then I would have never known that it’s supposed to be better.

Maybe you can request that they remove your internet connection for a few of the hours that you’re locked in the dorms so you can do homework.
