My PGSS Roommate is on Euge’s Floor

Euge sent me an email today:

An interesting conversation today (roughly)…

After seeing a kid from my floor with a PGSS tshirt…
Me: You went to PGSS?
Him: Yeah
Me: Do you know a kid named Michael Huynh (trying several pronunciations)
Him: He was my roommate.
Me: Whoa.
etc…

So your PGSS roommate (adam aaron) is on my floor.

That’s pretty cool! Adam was a great roommate. Helped me out a lot.

I met someone from PGSS who knew who you were too! Matt Peddie went on the Yellowstone trip with me! He said that you were the reallyreally smart kid who did “some network project nobody really understood”. :)

  2. Wow! What a bunch of coincidences! Yeah, I know Matt from PGSS. I didn’t interact with him too much, but he was a very nice person and extremely smart himself.

Darn ^^;. If nobody understood what my project was about, then my partner and I did a really bad job presenting it. Oh and, he might have gotten the impression I was smart at PGSS, but I can assure you that I was the one struggling there.

It’s nice to hear from you again, Pen!

Geez! Today I met three more “Govvies” as Matt called them… I don’t remember all of their names (one was Rei), but there are like 9 of them here. Heh. I wish you were here too… I know you’d love it and we’d be having a blast :) Instead, I’ll just have to see if I see you around campus at all, and then I will know there’s a hack a-coming! =P

  4. Ah, those people! I know there are about 6 PGSSers there, but from other PA Governor Schools, there might be more. I don’t recall someone named Rei so this person might be from another Governor School.

Dan Klenk should be there. If you see him, tell him I said hi!

I’ll mention the name to Matt and see if I end up meeting him someplace. If so I will definitely tell him you said hi.

You should come visit and tell them yourself! You’d totally fit right in here (unless you wore a CalTech shirt). Pleeeeeeeease? :)

  6. I wish I could, but it’s not possible. Maybe sometime in the future. Oh yeah, and if you see this kid named Jongjin, he’s pretty cool/creepy too—he chose MIT over Caltech because of the cold weather. Weird kid.

What’s wrong with cold weather? I bet right now he’s pretty disappointed… it’s been mid-80s and HUMID AS HELL for the entire time I’ve been on campus. It sucks– I get drenched in sweat just walking down the Infinite Corridor! Oh well. The winter will make amends.

Anytime you want to visit, just say the word.

  8. Oh gee, mid-80s -_-;;. Well, I suppose walking down an infinite corridor might get you a bit sweaty, but how are you supposed to get anywhere with that?

Oh yeah, anytime you want to visit me too (like when you’re freezing your butt off in the winter time while I just sit around and look cool), just say the magic phrase.

Geez… there’s a kid in my entry with a NASA SHARP bag (I helped him move in). He didn’t know you, but it’s still WEIRD! You should be here. :(
