If you are wondering about the new look, it is the result of an upgrade to version 1.5. Don’t get too comfortable, however. I will be converting this snazzy layout back into my old minimal text style soon.

KEEP IT!!! IT’S SO… pretty…
Why didn’t you call me this week, you jerkface?
I agree, keeps!
Nah, this new thing sucks. I like the old one better.
I hate this new thing. It sucks. Change it back.
Wow, I thought I had been redirected to some different place because of a typo or something. It is rather pretty, but the minimalist black and white style has its appeal, too.
I’m going to Drexel on Friday to see some presentation by Mark Adler from JPL (12:30 - 2:30). Would you want to go see Ponzy before or after that?
Christina: I agree. This layout is great, but it’s Wordpress’ default layout now, and I don’t want my site to look like other WP sites. I’m planning to reverting to a modified version of my old minimalist layout taking a few design pages from this “Kubrick” layout.
Dan: Ponzy said: “The best time for me is usually between 10 and 1 on week days.” Therefore, the only time that would work for him would be before 12:30. Would that be fine for you? If so, let me know and I’ll check with him. Mind if I hop along to Mr. Adler’s presentation too?
Pen: See comment to Christina. Sorry about not calling you, but I was at school for 95% of the whole weekend so I was pretty out of it and forgot what a phone was. Maybe this weekend might work, but I still might be extremely busy.
Dave: I’ll upgrade you soon.
Steve: See Dave’s comment.
Mike my blog went down! Help!
And remember how I was going to get a new domain? Well I changed my mind, since I remembered that I have sidewalkchalkrevolution.com . I wanted a site with my name, but I was going to use it mostly for poetry, so the name sounds sort of artistic in a cool way.
And I still think I’m going to let the tokei-mizuro site die.
So anyway, a small request: could you put cpanel on sidewalkchalk? Or tell me how? Because I… I… OKAY I ADMIT IT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE FTP!!!
Dave
(BTW I’m posting from LINUX!!! WOOHOO!)
Dave
This layout is buggy! Both Dave and I ended up double-commenting.
And I’m getting this error:
Warning: initialise_tags(../wp-content/xvalid/xhtml-transitional-10.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mike/public_html/wp-content/plugins/xvalid.php on line 250

Ah, thanks Euge. Yeah, that was a plugin I installed to make everything xhtml validated. However, there seemed to be a bug in that so I disabled it again.
Thanks for the tip however.
Hi, I’m the author of X-Valid, the plugin that was causing the problem you mention above. Sorry about that. Someone else emailed me to let me know about the problem so I’ve done a quick check to find other people that encountered it… Just for your information, the problem was caused by using require instead of require_once in the initialise_tags function. The problem is fixed in the latest dev version which should be out soon (if you want to give it another try!). Sorry for any trouble it might have caused you!
Cheers,
Jamie.
