Nadesico

*Sigh* I keep doing this to myself: I’m extremely busy with a packed schedule. I happen to chance upon another anime series and begin to watch it. After 2 episodes, I’m hooked and I use any free time I have to watch more and more. Life is great and exciting. Finally, I hit the end of the series after I lived through it for weeks, and I suddenly feel empty inside. I feel as if something is missing in my life, and I’m placed in a melancholy state for a long while.

So, I just finished Nadesico, and now my brain refuses to do anything else but reminice about it. My brain reruns episodes mentally, it starts to hum catchy tunes from the series, and it brings back the good times and the bad times of the episodes.

I’m not helping either. I’m listening to the ending song on a loop in Winamp over and over again. The rhythm, the lyrics, the beat, and expression are excellent. I’m humming the Genkigengar theme song over and over again (watch the series to know what I mean). Every once in a while, I think: Darn, it’s over.

This is what I love about anime, and it’s also what I hate about it. Unlike a movie, it draws you into the storyline, and you’ll start loving the characters.

All of a sudden, it ends.

hahahahaha, I thought you might have a blog or some such, but it seems that I underestimated you. Props on having your own website. You’re quite officially a far more productive high school student than I was.

Hi, this seems like an appropriate place to reply to the message you left me. I will look into Wordpress this weekend if I get a chance away from homework and the concert and all. Thanks for your advice and hosting offer; I’ll see what happens with that.

Oh, and ps: I discovered what RSS feed is, sort of.

  7. Christina, that sounds great :). Good luck with Wordpress. I like it because it can be used as both a blog and as a web site. You can create categories and post writings and stuff and make it look like it’s a regular web page. I tried to merge both in my site so I have a half blog/half information dump.

RSS feeds are awesome! I didn’t understand the significance of using them first, but once you get a RSS feed aggregator like Sharp Reader, you can just enter in everyone’s blog’s RSS feed and save yourself about 10 minutes by having all of your news in one place (Speaking of news, you can also aggregate Yahoo News and other sources). For Xanga blogs, you have to fix the RSS feed (since they have an error in their format) and I ported a nifty script to do that.

    Winter concert!

  8. Yatrik, of course I know who you are! Hm, Chicago? I’m not too sure… If I ever get the freedom to drive around the US, I’ll definitely visit you and we can train together . OMG, they don’t watch anime?!?! What’s wrong with them?! Anime and Manga is food to the brain. It’s essential!

But hey Jatrik, being loney gives you time to practice, train, and pursue projects. Use this time to learn more about what you are interested in, and in time, you’ll meet good people. Why not seek out a place to train?

    Good luck.
