When I think about the stuff I need to get accomplished, it feels like I’m even busier. Today was kind of cool. My AP Computer Science teacher (and also the AP Physics teacher) was elated over my programming narrative. My report was the only one in the entire class to not have any correction marks on it. The teacher, Mr. Eschelman, joking asked me: “Are you sure you aren’t a college student?” Me: “Um, the least I checked, no ^^;;;.” Him: “Your report is excellent. At first I didn’t want to mark on it, but when I was reading through it, I realized that I didn’t need to mark on it.” Me: “^^;;;.”
He asked me if I wanted to hand it in now, but I said I would take it home and make a few corrections. Then he asked me where I got the format of the paper, and I told him about my research over the summer at GaTech, and he was pretty suprised. Yay.
The other highlight of the day was that I got to talk to the smartest, most brilliant girl in the world today on the phone. She stunned me with her amazing performace on the Mensa practice test. I have a long way to go if I want to be fractionally as brilliant as her. The cool thing was that I felt pretty confortable talking to her on the phone. It was as if I was talking to my best friend–except that I could talk about more advanced topics.
Cool.
